I'm a little over 20 weeks pregnant, and it can be overwhelming to find products you like, and if you're trying to avoid certain ingredients like I am, there is a lot to consider! In my second trimester I am starting to get a bit more energy and feel more like myself so I thought it was time to get back into the blog a bit. Here are some products I have been loving to treat myself, and make pregnancy a little more comfortable.
The Spoiled Mama Skincare (Get $10 off an order of $20+, HERE)
In my first trimester I had some pretty persistent acne, and I was struggling to find skincare that was pregnancy-safe (free of ingredients such as salicylic acid, and retinol). I gave this skincare duo a shot and it helped clear my skin up within a few days. They're not tested on animals, and are organic and non-toxic. These products also smell fresh and luxurious, they were a treat to use and it was nice to feel pampered at a time when I wasn't feeling the best about my skin.
Barefoot Dreams Robe and Blanket
Barefoot Dreams products have been on my mental wishlist for years. I recently stumbled across an amazing sample sale so I got a great deal on both a robe and a blanket. I sized up a bit in the robe to help fit my growing bump, and I have been obsessed. The blanket I got is the perfect lap size, I can curl up on the couch with it, or drape it over me when I am working from home. Both are so incredibly soft, I see why this brand has such a following.
Lavanila Deodorant and Perfume
I first tried Lavanila years ago, and love their warm vanilla scent range. They're cruelty free, hypoallergenic, paraben and phthalate free. I feel good about using these products during my pregnancy and love that I can match my deodorant scent to my perfume.
Badger Pregnant Belly Oil
I have loved Badger skincare products for years, I used their tattoo balm for my last few tattoos and had really great results. I was excited to see they have a range of products for mom and baby. This belly oil feels luxurious without a crazy price tag. The rose and vanilla scent is to die for and makes me feel like I am spoiling myself each time I use it. Stretch marks are genetic, but I think a good balm or oil is essential to help your growing belly stay comfortable and moisturized. For reference, this bottle has lasted me about 2 months using 2x a day.
MomCozy W-Shaped Pregnancy Pillow
This was a game changer. I am typically a stomach sleeper which doesn't really fly when you're pregnant. I love that this pillow is compact, but still gives me the support I need. It's easy to sleep with, and I find it pretty much stays in place with minimal adjusting if I turn in my sleep. If you have a cuddly dog in your bed, and think a larger pillow would be challenging to sleep with/have room for, give this pillow a try.
