There is an overwhelming amount of baby products out there, and knowing what to buy and what you'll truly need sometimes feels impossible. The following are my favorite baby products now that I am almost three months postpartum, these are my most used, and most loved products that have helped make life a little easier.
- Graco Pack ’n Play Travel Dome LX Playard; I have this in my living room so I can still keep an eye on my son while I'm cooking, cleaning, or just spending some time on the couch. This was amazing during my c-section, when I was essentially living downstairs. My son outgrew the bassinet attachment pretty quickly (he was born close to 10lbs, 11oz!), but I loved the UV-50 Canopy. In the summer I'd remove the bassinet and bring it outside so baby could nap in the shade while we got a little air. Having an extra changing table and caddy for diapers and wipes downstairs is also super convenient.
- Fisher Price Playmat; My coworker recommended this playmat because her son loves it, and it is a huge hit in our house. My son loves to kick the keyboard, babble at himself in the mirror, and play with the toys. I'm sorry in advance, the memes are true, you will get the purple monkey song stuck in your head!
- Momcozy bottle washer and sterilizer; Bottle washers seem to be a hot topic with moms online, they're either loved or hated. For me this was worth every penny. We have what I'd call a builder grade dishwasher in my kitchen, so I really wanted something that had a sterilizer setting specifically for our baby bottles. We pretty much already fill a dishwasher daily so it felt like a bit of a waste to half fill it once again just with bottles. It's really easy to use, we just fill the reservoir with filtered water (you can also use distilled), drop a tablet in the bottom, load it up, and go! This is great especially if you're pumping. I feel like I have a ton to wash each day and not having to individually wash and dry alllllll the pump parts is a lifesaver.
- Eufy S1 Wearable Breast Pumps; I decided not to include wearables on my registry, since I wasn't certain I'd have luck with breastfeeding (not everyone does!), but once I was getting the hang of using my Spectra (a traditional hospital grade breast pump) I started to really dislike certain features, mainly feeling like I needed to lean forward to use it, and having bottles 'hanging' from you was just uncomfortable especially as they filled. I went with the S1's because they are significantly less expensive than the S1 Pros, and from what I read the main difference is how they charge; the S1's use a magnetic charging cable which for me is convenient enough, and the Pros have a wireless charging case. The battery life is pretty good, but the heating function (which can help you collect more milk) does make the batter drain faster. I love that they're app enabled, and you can use different settings/routines such as "Power Pump" which was amazing when I was working to increase supply, or make your own which I have more recently because I found the half hour 'standard' is usually too long for me.
- We were blessed with so many hand-me-downs from my sisters in law, if you have family or friends with young children I highly recommend swapping any clothes that have been outgrown. I've bought very few clothes so far, and really have only gotten a few basics or very specific seasonal items as needed (seasonal jammies--- add to cart!). There are a few items that I've been obsessed with and bought in various colors and patterns so far because they are that good!
- Amazon Essentials Cotton Sleep Sacks; Once my son transitioned out of swaddles these were the first sleep sacks I purchased. They're cotton, soft, stretchy, and easy to get on and off. They're also incredibly well priced and often on sale.
- Gap Baby Bear One-Pieces; I have a few of these in different materials that were handed down, they're my favorite for various stages of cold weather. If you can find them with the feet, run don’t walk!
- Their sister brand, Old Navy, has one on sale right now!
- Burts Bees Onesies; I love these multipacks from Burts Bees Baby. They are so so soft and a great basic to mix and match or layer with.
- Old Navy Sleep and Plays; These pajamas are hands-down the best. They are priced so well, they're easy to wash and get stains out of, they have a 2 way zipper, and they have fold over sleeves which I love to prevent scratches and to keep hands a little warmer when we're in and out of the car this fall.
- I've also been trying some great products from Earth Mama, I loved their products through pregnancy and early recovery, and I am now starting to get into some of their baby items. One of my favorite items currently is their nipple butter, you can use code NESTINGINNY for 15% off.
Let me know in the comments which products are your favorites, did I miss any of your faves?
